Joe is a celebrated men's session hairdresser with a strong background in men's hairdressing and a passion for men's style. Opening his first salon The Lounge Soho in the late nineties, Joe continued his business achievements with the co-creation of the very successful organic Children's product range Halo and Horns. He finally fulfilled his dream of opening a dedicated men's salon with a contemporary edge, Joe and Co. in 2010. In 2019, Primark collaborated with Joe to create a men’s grooming range and Joe continues to work on projects within the hair industry and beyond. Offering mentoring support to other salon owners as well as being a spokesperson for the hairdressing industry.
Joe has worked with some of the leading figures within the fashion, music, film and advertising industries. He is called upon to groom many high profile clients and is known for his dedication, professionalism and hard work in any setting. Providing men's hairdressing as well as grooming services (including natural make-up and facial hair) his clients get the full package of services at the hands of an expert enabling them to look their best for whatever occasion.
Joe also regularly writes for titles such as British GQ and Esquire as well as appearing on Podcasts, Radio and TV including BBC and Sky news.
What is your earliest memory?
My Nan shelling peas at the kitchen table.
What is your greatest fear?
I would of said failure pre-covid, but now I think it's more about the people around me that are important to my life and losing them.
Aside from property, what's the most expensive thing you've bought?
I guess cars over the years. I used to build and race street legal drag cars and it can get get pretty expensive!
What is your most treasured possession?
My 1954 Hillman Minx.

Loyal, hardworking and flawed.
Which book are you ashamed not to have read?
The Bible.
Who is your celebrity crush?
Demi Moore.
What is the worst thing anyone's said to you?
I don't trust you.
Would you choose fame or anonymity?
Double edged sword this one. There is an element of both which rules my life. I'm in the public eye which has positives and negatives but anonymity I guess.
What do you owe your parents?
Everything! A good work ethic and a strong understanding of right and wrong.
What does love feel like?
In to Me you see… Intimacy.
What was the best kiss of your life?
The one my son gave me on the cheek this morning!
What scares you about getting older?
Running out of time.. not seeing my son grow up.
When's the last time you changed your mind about something significant?
In what I do I would say monthly.. my world constantly evolves and I have to adapt.
What would you like to leave your children?
In a place where they feel reassured financially. I guess also some kind of legacy with either property or business.
What single thing would improve the quality of your life?
Understanding my stress and work life balance.
What is the worst job you have done?
Selling papers age 13 on Margate seafront! It was a local paper that tourists didn't want and I absolutely hated it!
What has been your closest brush with the law?
Stopped in a car which I didn't know was listed as stolen. I was a passenger getting a lift from a club promotor. I got held for a few hours until I could prove who I was.
If you could edit your past, what would you change?
Nothing. It's a learning experience, the good and the bad.
Would you rather have more sex, money or fame?
None of these would come close to TIME, so that's my answer.
How would you like to be remembered?
He did a great hair cut and was a decent human being.
What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
Don't cut off your nose to spite your face! Things and people come back round again and shit happens.
What happens when we die?
As I have got older my views have changed. I am a lot more spiritual I guess.. but hey, who knows!
