At Pelier, we love our sport. As far back as 2020 we identified Sha'Carri Richardson as one to watch. Raw, but supremely gifted, this girl could sprint. An explosive talent with a personality to match, Richardson has struggled to fulfill her potential and is no stranger to controversy. In 2021, when expected to be a major draw at the Tokyo Olympics, she received a 1-month ban for testing positive for cannabis preventing her from running. Despite this disappointment she continued to burn up the track, yet her promise remained unfulfilled.....until now. Her gold medal winning run at the world championships in Budapest this week is a tale of redemption as reported by Sean Ingle and Andrew Lawrence in the Guardian.
